I’ve always been an avid reader. I especially love stories about how people have taken an idea and grown it into something meaningful. Over the last year these are some of the books that I’ve read which in turn have helped shaped the idea for Wapikka. Hope you enjoy.

Start Something that Matters by Blake Mycoskie

Blake Mycoskie is the founder and chief shoe give of TOMS – the pioneering one for one company that has inspired hundreds of new social entrepreneurs around the world, he sure heck inspired me with this book.

 

Do Purpose – Why brands with a purpose do better and matter more by David Hieatt

A fantastic short book by the founder of Hiut Denim and Howies! David offers so many powerful insights on how to build a purpose-driven business and how to build a business you can be truly proud of. 

 

The Shed that Fed a Million Children by Magnus Macfarlane-Barrow

This book is the story of Marys Meals. Magnus shares the full story on how he got involved in this work and how he lead the Marys Meal’s movement from feeding a few classrooms to feeding over 1 million children every day in some of the worlds most deprived communities. 

Steve Jobs Biography by Walter Issacs

This is the iconic story of Steve jobs. It’s a fantastic read that chronicles how Steve grew an idea into the worlds biggest company that is of course Apple.

Crush it by Gary Vaynerchuck

Gary is the king of social media. This book is literally all about how you should live your life through passion and to use social media to share your passion with the world.
